Tbird ver 95.0b2 contacts
Is there a way to export contacts other than the huge zip file? Don't see an option but import looks the same as older versions.
I often take a long windy road to my destination. Upon arrival, I wonder how I missed the shortcut.

In 96.0b2, it is to select the address book in the left pane.
Right-click.
Export.

Thank you, Walt. I had the address book tab open/selected, then selected Tools and export and that presents the zipfile warning.

You're welcome.
Tools > Export is the great new way to back up the whole profile.
Still haven't figured out if I can rename Thunderbird_profile_backup.zip to something like 02_05_Thunderbird_profile_backup.zip, so I could restore an old backup using Tools > Import, and if it would work with that filename.
I'll probably just create a Beta Profile BU folder, and have dated folders in that.
