Hi All,
I'm having the following issues:
- upon wake and randomly thunderbird is non-responsive.
-- I can click the interface but mailboxes do not select
-- I click get email the menu opens but I can't select the get new messages.
-- no new email downloads
It almost seems like its warming up to work then eventually does.
History:
- Initially Thunderbird saved search would freeze thunderbird and I would have to kill it (v91.2.1 (64-bit))
- User shared this was a known issue and suggested I upgrade to the beta which I did, resolved the issue and retuned it the ideal state.(94.0b5)
- I continued to upgrade through the beta channel
- the saved search issue hasn't returned but this new issue has returned.
Unfortunately, I don't seem to be able to revert back to (v91.2.1 (64-bit)) since it says the profile isn't compatible. Does anyone know how to revert back a profile to support a previous version of the thunderbird?
Any suggestions
Thunderbird 99.0b2 (64-bit) Non responsive initially (macOS)

Beta 2 works fine on my machine. Add a --allow-downgrade command line argument to stop it complaining about old files in the profile. That generally works fine (I've used it to go back a major version for example) but if you use it with too old a version you may run into schema issues in the databases.
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe" --allow-downgrade
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe" --allow-downgrade

TB 99.0b2 works fine on my iMac, too!
Translation for macOS :"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe" --allow-downgrade
launch Terminal.app, copy & paste the following command line and hit Enter
Code: Select all
/Applications/Thunderbird.app/Contents/MacOS/thunderbird-bin --p --allow-downgrade
