Why will the next version of TB be 1.5.0.2 although there's no 1.5.0.1 out? Just to keep the same version as Firefox?
Firefox: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9pre) Gecko/2008052316 Firefox/3.0pre (mahowi) ID:2008052316
Thunderbird: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9pre) Gecko/2008052904 Thunderbird/3.0a2pre ID:2008052904 Yep, just to keep the version number the same as in Firefox.
I like chickens. Lots of them. Every day.
All questions beginning with "why" are answered with "because."

EFnet oper irc.Prison.NET because they want to keep the versions numbers "nsync" lol
another reason:
because 1.5.0.2 contains the same set of security fixes in firefox 1.5.0.2 and it's important that people realize they are getting the same set of fixes instead of thinking "oh what about all the security fixes that went into fx 1.5.0.2, does tb 1.5.0.1 have them?" And it keeps us sane at moco by knowing the .0.2.x builds all contain the same set of fixes instead of thinking well that's .0.2 for product A and .0.1 for product B... ![]() Thunderbirds are Go!
Is 1.5.0.2 expected to be released as a final anytime soon?
EDIT: today supposedly. http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/rumbling ... 5-0-2.html Firefox: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2b5) Gecko/20091204 Firefox/3.6b5

Hi, Huh!!! Is this a spam? If not why did you post that link? It has nothing to do with thunderbird. Micro$oft Insecure Exploiter is bad. It has many security issues, plus the ActiveX technology causes unauthorised software installations and spreading of worms. And it is so old. And is obsloete.
delayed ?
release Date: April 18, 2006 (source: release notes) is nearly gone, doesn't matter, I will wait well-behaved for this new mozilla gift ![]()

we're having some issues with the partial patches. Thunderbirds are Go!
I see it now on FTP...
but you said that 1.5.0.2 contains the same set of security fixes in firefox 1.5.0.2 but here http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/rumbling ... 5-0-2.html there is only 321987 as security fix How much important is this release from security aspect? Thanks
