Hello mscott,
Another strange behaviour I encounter. When doing a 'Grouped By Sort', either via 'View / Sort By (Date) / Grouped By Sort' or simply 'g', messages marked as unread are marked read when navigating to them using Next / Previous Unread (or keys n/p), without opening the message or viewing it using the preview pane. The only way I can stop this is using the preview pane to read a message (not necessarily the unread one) and close it again (using F8). Next time I navigate to an unread message (buttons, key's, mouse) it stays marked unread.
