First Minotaur Trunk Build Available (Windows)

Post by mscott »

ftp.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/2003-04-09-win32-trunk.zip

Things to note:
1) We now use a minotaur specific profile (see the README.html I put in the ftp directory). This means you'll have to manually migrate your mozilla profile over to a minotaur profile by copying the contents of your mozilla profile and then changing the absolute paths in your prefs.js file.

Be sure to read the README.html file I put in the directory which will describe this min more detail, or read the instructions on <a href="http://texturizer.net/minotaur/faq.html#2.3">Minotaur Help</a>.

2) this build has all the latest and greatest trunk work that has been going on in mozilla (including a lot of Seth Spitzer's Junk Mail improvements).

3) You can't pull and build minotaur on your own yet because this build used trunk patches which have not been checked in yet.

If anything major isn't working, please post in the Minotaur Bugs forum which I'll keep an eye on.

Enjoy!
-Scott

The site is updated. Instructions on how to migrate your Mozilla profile can be found in <a href="http://texturizer.net/minotaur/faq.html#2.3">the FAQ</a>.

Works fine for me.
But minotaur wouln't be my default mailclient since there isn't the possibility to sign and encrypt mail via pgp.
I won't sign the mailtext out of the mailclient

Sorry, but the View-Toolbars-Customize SelectBox with Text-Icon with text-Icon doesn't take care about my choice.

I didn't "see" the file listed in the directory, either (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030409 Phoenix/0.5+). I was able to see it though by going directly to it

You won't see it listed in <a href="http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/minotaur/">http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/minotaur/</a> (which is a HTTP mirror of the FTP directory with a HTML index file) but you will see it listed in <a href="ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/minotaur/">ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/minotaur/</a> (which is the actual FTP directory with an auto-generated index).

This build seems a lot better than the last.

Some comments-
I preferred having the "junk column" seperate from the sender in the list. It's just the way I arrange it.
Drop down mail check options (check each account singly).
When you hit "Get mail" on an IMAP account, it should be a preference whether it checks all accounts or just that one.

Aside from that, it just looks better. Good luck guys!
