New To Thunderbird
Ok Im interested in the whole new seperation of items thing rather than having a big mess. I use Phoenix aka Firebird as my default browser and I am interested in trying Thunderbird. I was wondering what do you guys consider as the best build for me to try out?

well there's not much to choose from yet:
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird
if on Windows, download 2003-04-16-win32.zip, if on Mac or Linux, download the available builds for this platform :)

AFAIK, Hotmail isn't using any known protocol such as POP3 or IMAP so it can't be supported in Thunderbird without reverse-engineering the Outlook module.
Still there seems to be some workarounds, see <a href="http://www.mozillazine.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9357">this thread</a>.

I wonder if the dev team could get permission to include one of the workarounds from another open source project into the main program.
