code difference between windows and mac mozilla???

It seems to me that there should be some differences between the xul and js files for the mac and windows versions of mozilla. From my initial look though, I can not see any...I even used windiff and it didn't see any either. When I install an xpi on my mac that I have working on windows though, I get errors. I mess with the menus and commands for full screen mode (and I noticed that there is no f11 command in the mac like there is in windows) so I am assuming that these might be made different??? For the life of me though I can not see these differences, so my question is, are the jar files the same for both platforms?? If I take comm.jar from my windows mozilla and copy it over the comm.jar on my mac mozilla, will it still work correctly?? Any help anyone can give me on this topic would be greatly appreciated...
