Re: SeaMonkey 2.18 release postponed/cancelled
Just a NOTE that if anyone here still has a Power PC based Mac running OS X 10.5 then 2.18 is indeed available for SeaMonkey for PPC users.

Re: SeaMonkey 2.18 release postponed/cancelled
Nice! Since there is no SEAMONKEY_2_18_RELEASE tag in the comm-release repository, did you just take the tip of the default branch?
I would hope that the Linux distros similarly provide not-quite-official 2.18 builds in their repositories, given that they don't depend on the Mozilla build system either. However, they usually pull only what was officially tagged, thus in lieu of a tag, nothing may happen...

Re: SeaMonkey 2.18 release postponed/cancelled
Any ideas on when we can expect 2.19b1 ... ?

Re: SeaMonkey 2.18 release postponed/cancelled
Nothing is going to happen this week as it seems; there may be some update on the new buildmaster coming next week, but it all depends on how things go with setting it up and any issues they run into.

Nope, Callek was seen on IRC but may still be out of town (wherever that is). No reports as far as setting up the new buildmaster.

Re: SeaMonkey 2.18 release postponed/cancelled
Today's meeting was cancelled, no news. However, there was a bit of movement in bug 874015, Please reimage sea-master1. Given that it's just two weeks left for the scheduled 2.19 release, it may be delayed as well, but hopefully things keep moving now.

Well, at least there is some progress. I'm not that too bothered as updates were usually slower than this only a couple of years ago. I don't feel that SM has any really huge security holes. Especially if you are using NoScript or something.

Meaning, the new machine (the virtual one, that is) for the buildmaster is up and running and is waiting for Callek to install the build scripts.

Bug 883470 - (SM2.19b1) Tracking bug for build and release of SeaMonkey 2.19 Beta 1
Thus, definitely no 2.18 any more, but hopefully a 2.19 reasonably close to schedule.

We expect an actual release on Tuesday 18th June.

That sounds good. When will 2.19 be released approximately?

Diplomatic answer: When it's ready.
Scheduled release is June 25th.
Let's see how the 2.19b1 builds go, then we can talk about 2.19 final.

Re: SeaMonkey 2.18 release postponed/cancelled
FYI, there has been an aurora nightly build this morning (see my UA string below), and while the 2.19 beta is behind schedule, it looks good for something coming soon.
