i often have the browser open for more than a few days. Open as 4 windows: two with around 20 tabs, one with around 10, and the fourth with just the one tab. i have occassionally had a browser crash. Just in the course of browsing, and as part of when i 'file/exit'. i have my settings at, "On opening: restore previous windows and tabs". So this 'restore' worked on a normal opening, and after a crash when the pop up appears, a click on 'restore' and all reappeared. Then i updated to 2.33. After a session which had been around the 24 hour mark the browser crashed. On restart i got the pop up. i deselected a couple of tabs from one of the four windows and clicked, 'Restore'. This is where everything went wrong. Instead of my 4 windows with numerous tabs all that appeared was one window with one blank tab. The pop up's 'Restore' was now greyed out, as was the 'Go/Restore Previous Session'.
So i had lost everything. I tried to get some of it back through 'History'. Then after i closed the browser to run my normal security checks, install windows updates, and other program updates, and restarting Windows i reopened 2.33. Instead of my new previous windows and tabs i got the pop up. i clicked 'Restore' and all i got, again, was one window with one blank tab.
i reverted back to 2.32.1. Problem solved on normal browser start/restart. Haven't had a browser crash to know how a pop up restore will work.
A day or two before this issue, i had run a Boot Time Anti-virus scan and full MalwareBytes and Superantispyware scans. All were A OK.
So did this just happen to me?
Is there an expert who can tell me if this a known bug?
Is there someone experienced in the nitty gritty who can translate my info into a bug report to the appropriate Gurus?
This isn't laziness, i looked at the bug page to see if the issue was there and didn't see it and what i did see was way above my, "wysiwyg, Duh" abilities.
Please, help?

Re: SeaMonkey 2.33 - "Restore Previous Session"
I don't know of any bugs with session restore specifically, but I *can* tell you that sometimes crash recovery doesn't work. Especially if you are having repeated crashes in a row. It's just part of the beast. Eventually enough files get corrupted that there's nothing left to recover. If you have important sessions you can save them as bookmark folders by right-clicking on a tab and selecting "Bookmark this group of tabs". You should also try to see if you can find the source of your crashes... as IMO that's the real problem here.
Tip of the day: If it has "toolbar" in the name, it's crap.

Re: SeaMonkey 2.33 - "Restore Previous Session"
I am on SeaMonkey 2.33.1 and I just had this happen too. It crashed with a bunch of tabs open, and when I restarted it it just gave me a blank window with a single tab that was blank, not even my home page! I don't have crashes often, but sometimes, normally it's no big deal. I think this is the second or third time in decades that I didn't get my tabs back, and the first time I was greeted by a blank page.

At those times, are you able to manually restore your session, Go | Restore Previous Session ?
Fire 750, bring back 250.
