folders on left in mail section is gone

How do I restore the view on the left showing inbox, drafts, sent, etc? Thanks... have version 2.39

Go to: View | Layout and select Folder Pane. In the centre of the divider between the Folder Pane and the Message/Thread pane, there is what is called a 'grippy', you can also use that to expand or collapse the Folder Pane.
