Setting default email client on Libreoffice - Linux - Gnome

Post by danjde »

Hi friends,
I would like to set seamonkey mail as default app for LIbreoffice.
If I put "/usr/bin/seamonkey --mail" and then try to send my file to seamonkey mail, but this does not work fine and no file was added.

What is the better way on Linux/Gnome?

Many thanks!

As a start, there should only be one dash with that parameter:

Code: Select all

seamonkey -mail
Oddly, seamonkey -? does show some Prefs with --, like --profile <path>, yet a single dash, -profile, certainly does work (in Windows at least).

Maybe something here, http://kb.mozillazine.org/Default_mail_client#Linux.
Fire 750, bring back 250.

Hi "therube" and thanks for your reply!
But using only one dash, the result is the same: no attachment.

I've seen the mozillazine tutorial too, and I have long followed this indication, but for Libreoffice it doesn't work.
Maybe I should ask the forum libreoffice.

Now I try and if the solution came out I update you ;-)

Thanks again

Try without -mail.

To put Seamonkey as the default e-mail program for sending documents as attachments you do not need specify -mail parameter/option.
