Tried to log in, but site asks for captcha and then will not accept it when I type it in (multiple times).

I use Open with to open up Chrome which then logs in with no problem and does not require captcha.

Tried using Agent Switcher, but it did not work with multiple attempts using a variety of user agents.

Tks.

I didn't get any captcha request on my end.

Clear cookies?

Try in a Private Window?

Try in Safe Mode?

Try in a new, clean Profile?

therube,

cleared cookies, cache, private window, safe mode, no joy. Will try a clean profile, but can't imagine what that will do as I changed nothing. One day it worked and the next it did not.

Tks.

No issues with Amazon at my end when logging in.
Maybe it's the site for Amazon that was having issues at that time? :-k

LuvKomputrs,

Will try again with a fresh profile and no extensions. Maybe that is what happened.

Tks.

Backup your profile and delete or rename the file permissions.sqlite. See if this helps. You loose the permissions for all websites but these can be rebuild over time. Also make sure you accept at least session cookies for the site. I have seen some crazy permisson problems in 2.39 and 2.40. I think there were still some problems in mozilla gecko code after the permissions api changed in Firefox 42. Got sorted out around Firefox 44 / 45.
