SeaMonkey Download & Releases page
The official release of SeaMonkey 2.49.2 is out but there is a glitch on the download & releases page. The Mac links lead to a 404 Page Not Found error. The release is on the FTP site at:
https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/seamonkey/r ... .49.2/mac/

Grumpff. Only checked Windows after ewong gave the green light. I alerted him. The news section on the website isn't updated yet. Should happen soon too but the release notes are up too.

Yes Linux too. For manual consumption everything is at:
https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/seamonk ... es/2.49.2/
Given the fact that the webserver seems to not want to update pages right now I am not backing out the website patch or adding a note. Grumpff++

Nope, I prefer my Release versions direct from the Release page or else they don't count. I can wait until Santa is ready to deliver the presents.frg wrote: For manual consumption everything is at:

ewong is in a different timezone so should take a few hours minimum. I hope its not bouncer for which mozilla releng needs to be involved.
FWIW release is identical to candidate 1.

- There is also a problem in the contrib folder.
MD5SUM & SHA1SUM files have nothing inside. And the tar. bz2 file is invalid
(24 M [/2.49.2/contrib/] vs 48 M [/2.49.2/linux-x86_64/en-US])
Cheers!

Re: SeaMonkey Download & Releases page
Thanks.
News section is up. Was my fault. I switched the contrib file to linux-x86_64/en-US and alterted ewong. Hope the old cashed page will disappear soon. No one noticed during the release cycle. We should probably get rid of the contrib folder.

- Yeah. It's a little superfluous to have two different folders (contrib & Linux-x86_64) with the same files.

Not really a FTP site as that would be ftp:// which was disabled back in August 2015.Anonymosity wrote:The release is on the FTP site at: https://ftp.mozilla.org/ ...
Mozilla prefers people use http://archive.mozilla.org instead of http://ftp.mozilla.org
I remember seeing the 2.48 Release in Release folder initially but then only have it in contrib folder. Even though the 64-bit Linux builds is still only available as en-US, I think it should be in Release.frg wrote:I switched the contrib file to linux-x86_64/en-US and alterted ewong. ... While quite a few people who use Linux are doing so as to have a supported OS on their old 32-bit CPU hardware, many Linux distros have or are dropping support for 32-bit cpu's. So it would be nice to see 64-bit Linux Releases of SeaMonky to get other languages like the 32-bit Linux builds currently do on https://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/

Linux x64 is in the works but with so few devs and ewong essentially the only one left who knows the release process it gets delayed with every release. Same for Windows x64. Running local x64 builds for ages and ithey are really stable even if mapi doesn't work (same for TB x64).

Re: SeaMonkey Download & Releases page
The patch for the website with the fixed Linux x64 download link somehow didn't make it to the website itself. I asked but until either the download or the link is fixed please only pick this one from for now:
https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/seamonkey/r ... .2.tar.bz2
Sorry for the mess.

Re: SeaMonkey Download & Releases page
The website now points to the working Linux x64.
