Apparently Adobe is insisting that only Firefox should be allowed to download the installer for a Flash plugin. I had to fake a Firefox user-agent in SeaMonkey before I was able to download the latest one. Why do that? It makes no sense to me.

Doesn't work for long time - there is available Adobe Download Manager only.

To download full offline installer fellow must use direct URL:
Mozilla (NPAPI)
Code: Select all
http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/pdc/30.0.0.154/install_flash_player.exe

IE (ActiveX)
Code: Select all
http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/pdc/30.0.0.154/install_flash_player_ax.exe

URLs must be changed for newer versions.

Actually, that link does still work.

(A user on Pale Moon forums ran into issue downloading.
I would expect https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ to simply work, but haven't used that in ages.
[That link actually downloads a "stub"-installer, & other crap, if you let it, that then downloads what you actually want.]

What @Pav78 wrote it the correct answer, IMO.)

Not quite the right answer for MacOS, though.

Funny thing! Your URL and my URL should gave the same files... but they are not the same!

EXE file from "latest" folder has older digital signature then "30.0.0.154" folder.

SHA256 check sums:
"Latest"
Code: Select all
d4a083f7d1b191af30a64c67be3c4ffadf0b491c841acff7fbe560ae03ce5467

"30.0.0.154"
Code: Select all
6e16f016cc05fb79aacaa626cb48d5b28ff1d59958aeb63a60620b94d831af5f

I didn't checked DDLs so I don't know more details.

Yep as you can download the latest version for Windows, Mac or Linux regardless of what OS you are using as it is the "Need Flash Player for a different computer?" link on https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Both hashes are correct.

Not quite sure what the /pdc/ means, though there is at least one "pdc" URL (if that means anything?):
> https:// www .adobe.com/lib/mobile/pdc/apple.html

Appears that other then a couple bytes at the beginning of the file, the only other difference may have something to do with the certificate? (Both are signed by symantec .)

So I'll take it that both are equally valid, though slightly different in packaging leading to different hashes.

The one, in order to use, you must know the current version number - in order to get the current version.
The other, theoretically, should always return the most current version.

That did not work. I tried that. It sort of worked if I gave SeaMonkey a fake Firefox user-agent, but did not work with any other browser. Therube's second link works, so thanks for that.
