transfer mail and bookmarks to new SM profile

Post by Justinh »

I've been carrying forward my SM profile for many, many years, and now I want to install SM on a new computer and use a new profile. I figured it would be good to not clog up my profile with years of legacy stuff and start clean. Is that rational?

So, the question is, what is the best way to bring my e-mail and bookmarks into the new profile?

It's rational you want to keep your data.

You don't need new profile on new/second/another computer - just copy old one:

EDIT: Sorry! I was reading to fast and I lost something in translation (in my head). You don't need to "create new profile" just update to latest SeaMonkey 2.53.1 and it will do what is needed (if there is some old stuff then it will be not used).

But if you really want to transfer old data to completely new profile then go ahead, it's you choice:
