Why would SM network with itself? This is from a netstat:
TCP 127.0.0.1:49511 127.0.0.1:49512 ESTABLISHED
[seamonkey.exe]
TCP 127.0.0.1:49512 127.0.0.1:49511 ESTABLISHED
[seamonkey.exe]

Re: SM networks with itself?
(That's probably expected [not that I recall why, particularly].)
A start, Bug 100154 Connections opened on loopback (127.0.0.1) show in NETSTAT and ZoneAlarm has "server rights" alerts.

Fire 750, bring back 250.

Re: SM networks with itself?
Is SM using TCP to communicate with its encryption module? The old Mozilla Suite used to do that, and Zone Alarm used to interpret that as acting like a server.
