Bravo!

Gmail with OAth2 is working fine with SM 2.53.11. Will there be a problem with SM 2.53.11.1 due to?...
OAuth2 prefs should use realuserName instead of username bug 1518126.
Please advise if we need to do something so that gmail continues in good shape with SM.

Thanks.

@Peter, I believe that relates to, OAuth2 support of "Office365" (for POP) looks broken? FIXED.
So if you did not run into that issue, you should not have an issue at all.

Thanks for responding. Gmail is important to me so I wanted to try to ensure it stays operational before doing the update. Your reassurance is helpful.

therube,

So, let me see if I have this figure out correct. Can't use OAuth2 with private account of Office365, no?

As far as I read it you can't use oauth2 with pop3 and a private Office365 account. Only imap supported then.

frg,

Thanks for confirming that. Oh well, hotmail was good in its day.

I really tried to answer this, but the board was pretty messed-up for about (over?) a week... :(

To make sure we are communicating - I use Office365 for "all" of my email, both POP3 and SMTP - and both work fine with OAuth2, after frg fixed that one little backport issue.

And I also use the SM email client with Gmail and its POP protocol interface - also with OAuth2.

So, does this clear anything up?
