spell checker

Hey,

I am using thunderbird for already more than 4 weeks as my main mail software. I've just downloaded the thunderbird with spell checker. It works great. But I'm german. Could anyone tell me where can I get the files and how do I install them?

I am only able to download AND install, but that does not work for thunderbird, cause it is somewere on my system (in my home). I found something on

I downloaded the files from openoffice.org and copied them to the matching folder of thunderbird. I can choose german spell checker, but the checker still checks with the english book and gives english advises??!

Ah well... maybe there is something hardcoded so that it takes always english?
Spell checker it's a new feature so probably will get better with the next versions.
