Missing date field in messages

Some email messages don't have a Date header. In these cases, NC and TB use a date of downloading the message as a replacement. I think it's a bad idea. These messages might have been sent months or years ago; yet, they are displayed on top of the list. A better option, IMO, is a part of From header. It contains date.
