Flexible From Address

as i have multiple email addresses on one server account, i hope Thunderbird could allow me to use them with no hassle. right now, i have to create another account with exactly same settings of others but not fetching.
since what i want to do is to send an email via another From address, creating new account is just too much work and, thing is, i sometimes want to make From address on the fly.

if From line would be a edit-box or a drop-down combo instead of a drop-down list, that would be the best for flexibilty. but if chosing From line means not only selecting From address but also selecting SMTP server to send, this might not work.

so, maybe... how about this? you can create From address as much as you want without creating server account because those addresses are just used for From line.
