I have a feature request, if it hasn't already been highlighted:
When adding a folder as a favourite, can it also be possible to see any subfolders and their contents as well from within the favourites view?

I second this. I just started using "Favourite folder" thinking it was going to provide the functionality I need. Then discovered I need to "Favourite folder" all of the internal sub folders (for me that is 100's and 1000's in some cases).
I could knock up a script to achieve the clicking automatically but I would have expected this function to be built into Thunderbird.
I notice that when I create a new folder inside a favourite folder, the new folder is not automatically created as a favourite folder - this is what I would have expected as by making a folder favourite, I am stating that the contents of it are favourite.
