I am using an S / MIME certificate with Thunderbird, but even though it gives me the same email address as both the certificate and the sender, the signature tells me that it is not possible to tell if they are the same person. How to fix it? Please see the attachment.

Re: S/MIME signature
Moved from thunderbird features to thunderbird support as you're looking for help with a existing feature.
I don't know whatever language is used in the screen shot and since its a image I can't use google translate. I suggest you add a post stating what it says in English.
What version (please don't say latest as that is ambiguous) of Thunderbird are you using?
Do you have a CA certificate for the S/MIME certificate or is it self-signed?
