Preview Pane on Search Messages screen

When Thunderbird concludes a search and displays the Search Messages screen, it has two open panes: the top one shows the search criteria and the bottom one shows all of the emails that meet the search criteria.

It would be a great boon if Thunderbird added a third pane that would preview each email as it was selected.

I had created an extension that does what you describe but never released it..

I am having issues with my hosting server at the moment, so cant give you a link that will work..

So many times I would like to be able to preview my messages found in the search. I have not been able to find this extension now. Does anyone know if it or an alternative still exists and works with the current firefox?

Ausdilecce disappeared a while ago and his extensions were abandoned. He has not given permission for others to work on them, so most of them are dead. A few have been able to be bumped for newer versions of Thunderbird, but there's no guarantee that they would work.

Thanks. But that adds a button to the main toolbar and doesn't affect the search window.
