about to revert to prev version

Post by angryjoebass »

I'm chalking this up to a bug as I've done everything I can to kill image blocking. Perhaps there's some foo from a previous version or something may be broken in the enhancements to inbox management. I have numerous accounts all forwarding to my preferred account. That's the only interesting change I have made since this image problem began happening.

May be you did the same thing I did, which is to select

View
Messages Body As
Text ;-(

Change Text to Original HTML and all works.

I just figured one out. Selecting View>Message Body as > Original HTML restored my images in the newsletters I get.

Can Not View Images when composing email

Post by bingerso »

I had a problem I could not view the image when composing a email (Thunderbird 1.5). Only a red diamond in a box to mark it's location. So I added myself to my address book and now when I compose mail and add an image to the body of the email, I can see it. Hopes this helps other with this problem.

I hate micro$t so much I use Thunderbird. But there is always some kind of image display problem. Been trying on and off to get Thunderbird to display images for two years, yes two years. I just gave up trying to display images.

When I switched the TB 3.0.1, I was having a problem seeing web images in my email. The solution turned out to be setting the about:config setting for permissions.default.image to 1. After that, I could see all images in my emails.

TB version 5.0

Post by MarkDM »

I recently switched from Outlook Express to TB 5.0
Images are not displayed !
I configed internetconnection to 'use system settings' as in Firefox
Messages are displayed as original html ....

I cannot find "about:config setting for permissions.default.image " in TB 5.0 as in previous post (TB 3)
I use the Dutch version of TB

Is this problem an known issue in TB 5 ? Can anyone help ?
