Minimise to Tray

Post by DamianMoran »

This is an optional feature in Outlook. Minimise results in application window going to system tray.

E.g:

Damnit. Another dupe.

Hmm, that PowerMenu is a bad workaround; minimising without significant memory reduction is a great hindrance.

How's it a bad work around? It works....

Somehow powermenu is to reduce the memory that another app uses? It's a workaround for a reason...

Yes, that's why it's a "workaround". Being able to minimise to the system tray and have nothing active except occasional mail checking would be a "solution". And a solution which didn't swallow up anywhere near as much memory.

If I start Thunderbird with the -turbo extension it starts in the taskbar but I can't do anything else from there. Is this normal for these builds?

Turbo mode will not be supported in thunderbird. There is probably some legacy turbo code hanging around which is why you can partially get it to work....not sure how long that condition will last though =)
