I'm having IMAP server disconnect problems (suspect due to service provider). When this happens,
the "BYE" message from the server is loaded into the "Correspondents" field in the email list, and the Subject field is empty. However, everything looks normal when the email is opened. So looks as if the local index is getting corrupted.
e.g. "R*BYE Courir-IMAP Server shut down by signal." appears as a correspondent in the index.
At the same time, an entirely empty popup window appears towards the bottom right of the screen (owned by TB, only disappears when TB is closed).
Thunderbird 78.14.0 (32-bit) running on Windows 10 Home
Screen shot of both is available but don't know how to upload into forum.

Re: Server Disconnects cause corruption in email index
Moved from thunderbird bugs to thunderbird support as you are not discussing a bug reported in bugzilla.
If you press the repair folder button in the folders properties (right click on folder in folder pane and select properties) does it temporarily fix it?
Does the problem occur when running in safe mode (help -> restart with add-ons disabled)?
