Thunderbird 38.5.1 sending wrong images and creating drafts

I have found two bugs which seem to be linked...

1. Yesterday I answered to a mail that had an embedded image. When I answered, citing the original mail, this image was replaced by another image that I had embedded one day before in another message of my own. Very strange behavior!

2. One day later I have found 3 templates of the same image that I've sent (in the folder "drafts"). Template #1 has the correct embedded image, template #2 + #3 have the wrong image. The templates show different "snapshots" of the answering process, i. e. they show the course of my writing which took me about 30 - 45 minutes.
