Message filter log not working (Linux)

Hi

I'm on Linux Mint 17.3, running Thunderbird 38.7.2

Message filters still work ok but the filter log has stopped populating.

Any ideas please?

Update :

The log "now" only contains data when filters (which have been updated to include more entries) are manually run. When I say "now" I refer to the fact that it used to work properly and populate with all automatic filtering.

FWIW There are no active bug reports in the area of filter logging, for at least the past two years.

If it's still a problem after updating to version 45 then https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug. ... hunderbird
But preferably someone should help you here first - and I don't have any advice except to test starting Thunderbird in safe mode

Thanks. But I am running v38.7.2 which, according to the linux repositories, is the latest version.
