Filters dont work

Hi,

i have a problem with Thunderbird. I need to send a lot of invites. The e-mail Filters just do not work. Either it says "I cannot apply Filters", or it does not do anything at all. I have about twenty e-mail addresses in them, each of them with lots of emails. Any suggestions?

Please clarify what message filters ( http://kb.mozillazine.org/Filters_%28Thunderbird%29 ) have to do with sending messages. In general, message filters are used to process messages upon receipt and are not involved with sending.

What extension are you employing to accomplish? Thunderbird does 'not have the ability to use templates for manually replying to messages that you've received. In order to reply with a template, you have to compose a new message using the template, as stated above, and paste the recipient's e-mail address into the "To:" field.'

I create a template, then al filter saysing e.g. "reply to all ecxept containing the word no". It worked in the past and stopped now.
