can't drag and drop file attachments (Linux)

Post by aidas »

Newly installed Thunderbird 68.10.0 on Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS and found that can't drag and drop file attachments. When take attachment to drag, I can't even switch any windows since Alt+Tab turns to be disabled. Thunderbird is my favorite mail application, I always used it on Windows, but now I have Ubuntu machine and I'm rather disappointed. Could somebody help me to resolve this issue? thanks

Does the same thing occur if you launch the application in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

Safe Mode doesn't help.
I can easily drag files from Files manager to composed message, but can't do from inbox message.
Could it be a reason for my non-standard configuration? All /home directory are moved to separate hard disk formatted NTFS, thus /.thunderbird is also there. While all the other applications do their job properly.
