It should delete the email and put it into Local Trash. I have to drag it there myself, then right-click the trash to empty it.
Will file when Bugzilla open up.
Hitting Delete on an email in a Local Folder does nothing

the one i downloaded is 03-20-03, so March 20, 2003 I suppose.
[Edit] Actually, the web-site posts the last updated date as March 28th, though the link has the date 03-20-03 in it, so I just assume that it's the March 20th build, posted at a later date on the site. I guess they're not quite ready for nightlies.
