When I try to pull my e-mail from my ISP-s server
using POP over SSL all I get is "connected to <server>..." message
in the status bar.
It used to work in the 04-09 (minotaur) version and suddenly it broke.
(without any apparent reason)
Then, when the new build (t-bird) was available I installed that one
(and created brand new profile) but SSL still doesn't work for me.
To stop any irrelevant responses: my ISP supports SSL - I can download
my e-mail easily into Outlook for example using SSL (port 995).
Is anyone aware of this problem? Can I do something to find out
what is causing this?
Thanks

POP over SSL broken?

I hope to release a new nightly for windows tomorrow, April 23rd. Hopefully whatever issue you are having in your current build goes away.
Yes, I'm on windows 2000 and before this got busted I loved minotaur.
If you could tell me what to do to identify the problem, I'd like to do that.
I ran TDIMON to see the communication and it seems to have established
connection, exchanged some short data (SSL handshaking?) and then
stopped communicating with the server.
Tried to remove old (Mino) and new (Tbird) profiles and created a new one - no luck.
Please, PLEASE, help...

I believe, this issue has been gone with the 04-23 build. I get past the connecting phase, now it usually fails when sending the account password - see the other thread:
