Adblock and Flashoverride: GREAT!

Post by jocky »

Hi,
first, fantastic web browser! well done.
I love the Adblock and Flashoverride, however, have a few newbie probs.
1. Flashoverride - Can't activate the override by default. I must override each webpage on each visit.
2. Adblock, works great for images, however, for movies, macromedia, it's more difficult (right click menu pb)
Is it possible to add a block filter for *all* .everythings being loaded from server ads.somedomain.com
I can only individually block flash objects not ban the site.

Thanks!
Jocky!

in fact I could select *ads* from the Tools > Adblock, after analysing the flash etc urls for a while its more of less adfree surfing.. It really is crazy how little content is on some webpages after all ads are removed...

Ad blocking enabled by default in latest nightlies?

Post by Guest »

After installing the latest nightlies of Firebird, I noticed that 90% of ads disappeared. This may sound stupid for some, but how can I enable them back? :?:
I mean, after looking in the userContent I can definetively say there are no entries regarding that. I've searched inside almost every file of my profile directory and the firebird one. No entries in the Firebird options menu, neither in the about:config page.
What can I do? :?:

Are you sure you haven't installed AdBlock? Did you delete your old profile when switching to a newer nightly?

If you guys are going to chat in your native language, why not mark the title as such?
If you're not using Firefox, you're not surfing the web, you're suffering it.

Don't worry, we'll stick to English.

@XF, I finally solved the problem. It was peerguardian. I downloaded a couple of days ago some new ip scopes to update my client. Inside those scopes there were many banner providers, removing the ranges associated restored my banners... ;)

Thanx for the help anyway.
