good luck. :) reinstalling windows isn't that difficult, but it does reset shortcuts and other small things that i personally like a certain way. if you have problems, be sure to let us know and we can try to help you out.

If you're really having problems with Mozilla and Firebird, then I suggest that you use Opera instead.

(whooops, I wasn't supposed to say that ^_^)

Flii, I don't know when I can try reinstalling OS, four users on this computer, things have to be saved first, etc, but I hope within a week. And I sure won't be trying anything new untill afterwards. Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

Do you mean if you open a tab other than your homepage (your original tab) that the back history doesn't work?

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
HOME PAGE (ORIGINAL) ||| NEW TAB
-history: 1st page.......... ||| --history: 3rd page
2nd page

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
NEW TAB........................... |||
--history: 3rd page ........... |||

AFAIK the back history only stays with the original tabs. So switching to another tab *would not* have the same back history as the first.

Could this be the problem?

Otherwise I don't really understand this :S
