JavaScript book's examples often don't work. Debian Sarge.

Post by lugoteehalt »

Got this book to learn JavaScript - it's for Netscape Navigator and IE - but most of the stuff later in the book won't work. This is partly because it assumes case insensitivity, nothing can be done about that presumably.

Point is: Is there somewhere that the correct syntax for Mozilla can be found? At least that seems the sensible question to ask.

Thanks any help.

See the: Mozilla Developer Center

The Development forum here is a good place to ask detailed questions about JavaScript in Mozilla environments.

Great thanks Rod.

Followed the url and something like http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Co ... _1.5_Guide would presumably do the job.

Unbelievably basic question: Do you happen to know if it's possible to download the above onto a floppy without going through the whole thing link by link? I'm on a Windows computer.
