aol privacy wall verification

Post by isthatniko »

I have just rid myself of most of aol, I still have my subscription and the privacy wall is still active. I want to verify myscript to reactivate the privacy wall but mozilla will not allow me to? Does Mozilla have a privacy wall that I could use instead? what type of privacy does mozilla offer? I had alot of privacy with AOL but I don't know what I have with Mozilla/Thunderbird???

Do you mean a firewall? It sounds like AOL privacy wall might just be a re-branded McAfee firewall. Firefox and Thunderbird doesn't include that functionality. You normally install either a personal firewall, or use a cheap router that has a firewall built-in.

The free version of the Zone Alarm firewall is popular. I recommend the free versions of the Comodo firewall and Avast anti-virus scanner. I suggest you avoid Norton/Symantec firewalls/anti-virus software, they cause more trouble than its worth IMHO.
