Great. That was nice. Anyway, K-Meleon is far faster. If you want to see Gecko speed on Windows, get K-M.

I tried K-meleon one day, just to see how it compares to Phoenix. Not a bad effort, but after kicking the tires for awhile I decided I like Phoenix better.

Always good to have a variety to choose from.

reasons why I dont use KM anymore:

-not noticeable faster than PX or IE on my machine (maybe some nano-seconds, but, umm... yeah ;))
-butt-ugly default skin.. most parts are customizable, except these turquoise folders in the bookmarks toolbar *shudders*
-the developers arent really the fastest, took over 1 year from 0.6 to 0.7.....

Hey! We released 3 versions in 5 months in 2001. Now if we could just get some of those paid developers...

Paid developers? None of Phoenix's developers are paid for their work.

That's an uninformed claim. There was a blocker bug in Mozilla that made further development of K-Meleon impossible for several months until it was fixed sometime in July or August this year.
From then on, development was quite steady (several betas were available if you were part of the mailing list). Moreover, version numbers are just that: version numbers.

I know (or knew) about the development, and also about these 2 bugs.. "2 more bug fixes and we release 0.7"...... these 2 bugs were fixed months ago...

And also, this is Mozilla we're talking about. They could have easily submitted a Mozilla fix. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not knocking them; what they're trying to do is admirable.
