calendar/sunbird: exporting tasks
i recently started using mozilla calendar. more recently, i got enough parts to upgrade my computer. as this is going to involve reformatting the drive where i've installed calendar, i'd like to know how i can export my tasks. events were no problem--i managed to highlight everything and export highlighted events--but i can't find anything for tasks. is there a way to export them, or where are they saved so i can copy the file(s)?

iCalendar?
If nothing else the tasks are entered into iCalendar files when they're published to remote servers.
Perhaps that little tidbit will give you a clue. I've never tried to export events other than publishing them, so I can't really tell you right out what you need to do.

Dumb followup question .... do remote calendars support tasks? In other words, are those .ics files I publish to my webdav server supposed to store tasks as well as events?
I'm using the Thunderbird calendar extension and it doesn't seem to be able remotely publish tasks, only events. Behavior - add a task to a remotely subscribed calendar, refresh that calendar, and watch the task disappear)

Publishing tasks were recently fixed so you'll get them in a next release of calendar.
