I don't know, this just seemed like a rather interesting approach. Of course it will take me a while to get my hands on it (buying a new nic card for the only linux box in my house), but just by reading it's manifesto and features it gives me the feeling that the projects really trying to differentiate itself from those other gecko projects in it's approach.

Sounds to me like they want to reinvent Phoenix, but make it Gnome-specific sted cross-platform. All that stuff about eliminating bloat--isn't that the philosophy behind Ph also?

I don't know, I've always looked at Phoenix as dependant on other projects. This project seems to have it's own goals as opposed to seemingly being based on other browsers.
The implementation of bookmarks/keywords really does seem interesting, and I do like the fact that one of it's main goals is to follow the Gnome HIG word for word.
There also is something to be said about simplicity, I don't notice any themes, sidebars, or the desire to have overly complex preference panels. In fact the guy even mentions Pennington's rant about the overuse of preferences as "band-aids" for UI deficiencies (among other things) somewhere, if i could only find the link.

More to reinvent Galeon (Galeon is older than Px)
