www.netscape.co.uk ---looks great.
I'm a Netscape user (I use AIM and all the extra features of the Netscape Mail client) and out of all the people I've dragged screaming to download Netscape, not one of them have returned to IE afterwards.
Is it me Or does Netscape.com Suck

I don't think that's the case, or at least anymore. When I tried to go to Netscape.com in Netscape 4.8, I got an entirely different page from what I get when I visit Netscape.com in Netscape 7.02. If you have Netscape Communicator, go to Netscape.com and you'll see what I mean.
And the page looks surprisingly good for a Netscape 4 page. I tried to venture further into the site, but I quit after I got sick and tired of the loading times.

s that site even alive? Don't understand much, but they're promoting "The new Netscape 4.7"! . If it is, I don't understand why they still keep the site going. Not good publicity to have such old sites..

hmmm
That's weird. When I posted my first reply (about the different page), I got this page (I made a screen shot of the page). Now, I just started up Netscape 4.8 and I got the regular old Netscape home page, the same page as in Netscape 7.
I don't know why on that day I got a different page, but whatever the reason was, it doesn't work anymore.

You've probably got this: http://home.netscape.com/main2.adp?force=1 - the beta version of the "redesigned" Netscape.com. (Check out mozillanews.org for more information). I only like the slightly changed logo.
This is gonna be the new layout of Netscape.com but it has three major flaws:
- it's even uglier than the current netscape.com
- it's not standards-compliant at all
- it's still a portal, Netscape needs a good product-oriented page, such as www.opera.com
Netscape.com will still suck. Sad.

I agree 100%. I think they're (Netscape) having a long, drawn-out identity crisis.marc00s wrote:Netscape needs a good product-oriented page, such as www.opera.com
