Screen blacks out when using caps lock

Post by AngelKitty »

tried to go back & make sure this was new but there's just too much.

just got sys back from Win 10 being removed & Win 8.1 put back but have a couple weird things are still happening:

when i click Caps Lock on or off most of the screen blacks out. not the top ribbon but from below the addy line. actually it does a reverse screen like a negative with the background black & words in diff colors. it does it at other times in other places, like in WordPerfect but i'm concerned about FF.

anyone else see or hear of this? thx.

If it's happening in applications other than Firefox it's not a problem arising in Firefox.

Moving to MozillaZine Tech as this is not a Firefox issue.

Understood, but if it is not limited to Firefox, something outside of Firefox must be causing it.

Try updating your keyboard drivers and stop being a drama queen

see? this is the problem! i ask an innocent question, assuming i'll get an intelligent answer, get shoved off to some other board, then get insulted but i'm a drama queen? how is this help? the moderators have little patience with "amateurs" & i have no clue who you are & don't care to find out.

Whoever did the roll back should be sorting this problem out as you probably paid good money and they left you with problems. If however this problem is an ongoing one with some history then you may very well have hardware problems. It is NOT a Firefox problem and Dan moved it to the appropriate place.

You're more likely to get a useful response in the proper place — well, unless you complain about it. :P

Did you check if it might be related to the Windows accessibility settings (e.g. high contrast)?
