Tech Ads on TV indicate unwanted access fees,(SOLVED)update

Post by Grumpus »

Only caught part of it last night but someone is advertising for people to encourage representatives to vote against some proposed legislation which would cause much of the free service on the Internet to become fee based, named were Google and others.
Does anyone know what this legislation is about?

There are several bills in the works and under review which affect things like net neutrality and privacy.
As the number in the advert wasn't recorded it could be any of a number for several US States.
Google search internet legislation and using past month filter shows the list. 8-)

Appears to be for Bill S2992 - Limits platforms from certain blocking aspects, Etc.
Guessing this is an attempt to curtail some forms of content manipulation by whatever becomes described as a platform.
Looks like years of litigation to me.
