Windows and Comodo Firewalls.....

Post by Gubbio »

If I'm running Comodo, is it advisable to turn off Windows Firewall? General wisdom on discussion boards makes that to be the case. I knew this from the past.

However, in my experience, running a third-party firewall always disabled Windows. That doesn't seem to be the case now; both are running. So, I'm wondering if the old rule about conflicts still applies.

Unbeknownst to me, both have been running for some time. I assumed Comodo would disable Windows. I've noticed no conflicts.

Win 7, 32 Bit

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Hi,
When you install Comodo, it should automatically disable the Windows one.

& It's not a good idea, as you stated, to run 2 of anything that function the same, especially firewalls or AV etc.

Suggest you disable the Windows firewall.

Thanks for the input.

I thought that was the correct thing to do.
