Microsoft already dropping support for Windows 8.1

Now, don't confuse Windows 8.1 with the stupid Windows 8.1 Update 1 moniker. (as if people could not understand normal numerical version numbers.)

Apparently, everyone has 30 days to update or lose security updates. Somehow, they think they're Apple.

Soo.... if you don't update "Windows 8.1" to "Windows 8.1 Update" using "Windows Update", you will no longer receive updates? I don't possibly see how this announcement could be made any more confusing.
Tip of the day: If it has "toolbar" in the name, it's crap.

Edited for your approval - "Soo.... if you don't update "Windows 8.1" to "Windows 8.1 Update" by the date specified for the update using "Windows Update", you will no longer receive updates as of the specified non-support date due to changes in the update date?

Doesn't matter what you say, it's wrong for a toaster to walk around the house and talk to you

The funny part is that the 30-day-period thing is really totally meaningless. Because it clearly states that unless you update Windows 8.1 to Windows 8.1 Update using Windows Update you will no longer receive updates... UNLESS you update to Windows 8.1 Update, in which case you will receive updates. It couldn't be more clear on that Grumps.
