Android dominating smartphone sales, MSFT fans are furious

85% of all smartphones are Android. Apple's iSales are holding it seems.

On the other side of that coin, Windows Phone seems to be going the way of Blackberry. Its lost a chunk of users since last year. The funny part is that diehard Microsoft/Windows Phone fans are either completely ignoring the news or going ballistic at the fact that their chosen phone ecosystem seems to be dying. If only Microsoft would stop mirroring Apple's API policies, a lot more people and developers would show up.

Since android devices are cost less than iOS, I need a way to export/import my angry birds info from iPod to an android tablet(but methinks, it can't be done)

That's pretty sad because Windows Phone I think has the easiest-to-use interface of any of them. But hey, at least it isn't an iOS monopoly... maybe now Android developers will stop just copying the horrible design decisions of Apple.

Its funny. Microsoft has had plenty of opportunity to become the "Windows" of smartphones. But they insist on iOS style marketplace lockouts for certain types of apps which utterly killed any momentum they had.

And they are pushing to go to that model on desktop as well, apparently completely unaware that the flexibility of Windows and the massive amount of software options for it is why so many people bother with it to begin with. They've also managed to completely destroy the good faith they had in the gaming industry with their obsessive DRM and creepy camera stuff.
