Is Microsoft.NET Framework Assistant O.O.O. untrustworthy?

I'm not sure if this is the kind of thing this forum deals with- so let me know if I should go elsewhere.
Avast tells me Microsoft.NET Framework Assistant O.O.O. is bad and takes it off.
Is there a problem with that extension?
Or should I be going to an Avast forum? I don't want to appear rude by asking something that doesn't pertain to Firefox.

you need to be at MS and/or Avast as .NET is a Windows component and Avast is complaining...
It is possible that you are using a .NET application within Firefox in which case the plugin would be needed and should be updated
