Windows 2000

Post by Jimsrply »

Not sure if this post still activate, came across it when looking for answers to a few problems that have appeared. My software is W2K Sp4, Office97, Firefox9, Foxit Reader 2.3, IE6 Sp1, OE6, Adobe Reader 6, Avast! 8.0.1497, Apple QuickTime player 7.1.6 and WMP 9.

The first one is Avast! which use to update but now fails with message: "Not enough storage is available to process this command"
I have 1gb of memory 150gb disk --- running on Asus A8V-E Amd939 puzzeled!

Second, although not too much of problem but annoying is Adobe Reader 6 keeps loading it self in to memory.I think it is loading
after I close Firefox 9 down.

Thirdly whch again involves Firefox, does not always remove it self from memory but still annoying!

Thats all folks.

Hope there are some Guru's out there.
Jim.
Ps:- Have not read all of forum so its possible questions already been answered.

Thanks, LoudNoise for moving.
Just update on my post:- Avast error "Not enough storage is available to process this command" have not found the meaning! Have managed to now receive
updates after reloading Avast 8.0.1497.
A post on this site indicated that changing the plugin.scan.Acrobat from 5.0 to 99.0 would stop Adobe Reader 6 loading, appears to
work.
Regarding Firefox9 not always unloading have yet to confirm if this is still happening?
