So yesterday I was at what I believe to be a safe webpage and I clicked on a picture and Firefox crashed and everytime I attempted to restart or refresh it, it would instantly crash again. The error/whatever window that you can look at to submit a report to Mozilla had this in it:

This report also contains technical information about the state of the application when it crashed.
It doesnt look like that really tells a whole lot.
I've tried disabling all my add-ons (which there was only Ad Block), didnt work. I tried to do a FRESH install of Firefox to a new directory and new start folder and icons and everything, and it instantly crashes also.
I ran anti-virus and Malwarebytes Antimalware and there was nothing.
I tried Internet Explorer and it ALSO now instantly crashes.
But I can run Firefox in safe mode so at least there's that.
What could have happened? IS there anything else I can try? I haven't rebooted my laptop yet, could that fix it somehow? Like just something got janked in windows and just needs a reboot? There's an explanation why I havent rebooted but if you think that may work, I can try it.
Any advice would be much appreciated, any thing else I can attempt to fix.
Firefox will only launch in safe mode: tried many fixes.

Try AdwCleaner: https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdown ... dwcleaner/
But note that as part of the way it works it will reboot your machine.

Re: Firefox will only launch in safe mode: tried many fixes.
Adobe Flash is rather delicate to handle. Even minor disturbances can cause it to crash.
Sorry, no fix yet.
Did you use the Adobe uninstaller to uninstall flash first?
What is the setting of Adobe Flash in Tools->Addons -> Plugins?
If "Always activate" then change to "Ask to activate" (Or "Never activate" if you do not need flash). This should prevent loading and starting flash during startup.

Re: Firefox will only launch in safe mode: tried many fixes.
Some time ago I had the following case happen to me...
- 1st ... I've always uninstalled Flash using the Flash uninstaller asked about above... then I downloaded new Flash, installed it and both Firefox and IE would crash... then I read deeper into what Adobe posted in the uninstall page... and I removed the files that they mentioned... now... never a problem with it....
- 2nd ....
Since using the info in these links I've had no problems. Note step 3 in the 1st doc. Also, I get my Flash from the last link... cleaner to work with.
Uninstall Flash Player | Windows
Adobe Flash Player Distribution | Adobe

Re: Firefox will only launch in safe mode: tried many fixes.
1) I tried uninstalling Flash using that link and reinstalling using the next link. Firefox still crashes.
2) Tried changing it to Ask to Activate, still crashes.
3) IE crashes even if I have Firefox launched in Safe Mode.
This is mind boggling. The website that crashed it, Ive been to since and its fine. I have no idea what could have occurred.
Any other thoughts?

Re: Firefox will only launch in safe mode: tried many fixes.
Have you tried running Firefox and/or IE with Flash uninstalled to make sure that it what is causing your crashes?
Because safemode doesn't disable Flash and it works in safemode then that would indicate something else. Hardware acceleration perhaps (the usual cause of crashes in Firefox).
