Firefox 43.0.2 and Win 10 ... when use Cortana and speak
'Open Firefox', Firefox starts but does not open at the
defined Home Page ... instead starts at a Google search
with a search argument of "Open Firefox".
BTW: Firefox is defined to be the default browser and
after FF starts the Home Page can be accessed by clicking
the 'Home page icon'.

In Firefox Options, is the home page still as the only Home Page in the startup option box?

Moving to MozillaZine Tech as this seems more of a Windows 10/Cortana issue than anything Firefox controlled.

Should you be saying "Launch Firefox" instead? (Firefox seems to be behaving properly--being passed an argument (url) from an external program at start.)
;) mozillaZine is not Mozilla; just as Godzilla is not God. Neither is Mozilla God... they just think they are (what's that about:mozilla?).
Hey, Mozilla... are you sure you wish to do this? (bug 1121291)
