AVG has had a questionable history with both bloatware, nagware/adware, and ignoring your update settings, but maybe Avast can improve where AVG was lacking at? This buyout is dependent on government regulators and AVG shareholders approving the deal. If approved, the buyout will officially close between September and October of this year.

Hmm, where did Avast get 1.3 billion? I didn't think that company ever made money.
